Card Data Storm is a PCI DSS Windows application published on the Microsoft Store which scans the local storage drives of the device searching the data for patterns matching payment card numbers.
If you employ users taking debit and credit card payments over the phone, then it’s worthwhile running a scan to ensure that no data is being saved to the computer.
Even if you’re just curious and want to make sure your disk is free of credit and debit card data, then this is the tool for you.
Card Data Storm is available to download from the Microsoft Store on a 7 day free trial. Or you can purchase a full licence for just £19.99. The trial licence grants full access to the software. And if after 7 days you don’t want to keep using the application, that’s fine.
If you’re not convinced about Card Data Storm just yet, then please read on…

This algorithm is frequently reviewed and updated to reflect new card issuer identification numbers.

Easy To Process Results
The search cannot validate that any card numbers found are valid for purchases, only that the numbers found are well formed. Whilst every step has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the results, if any false positive card numbers are found, Card Data Storm tackles this problem with ease by allowing card numbers, individual files and entire folders to be removed from the results.
Any card data found is safe with Card Data Storm. When the application creates reports after a scan completes, the data stored is encrypted. In addition to using encryption, the application has no internet access capability, meaning the data cannot be automatically transferred off the device by the software.
